Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) (UK)
As the qualifying body for company secretaries and senior administrators, ICSA offers professional qualification covering business, company law, corporate governance, management, finance/accounting, administration and company secretarial practice. No other professional body in the business area offers the breadth of knowledge which the ICSA Qualifying Scheme provides.
The Scheme comprises of two Levels. These are all designed to test the knowledge, skills and understanding you will need to work in your profession.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Your entry point to the ICSA International Qualifying Scheme will depend on your previous qualifications.
1. Certificate in Business Practice - Open entry
2. Your entry point will be the Diploma in Business Practice if you hold one of the following.

ICSA's Collaborative Courses offer an alternative route to qualifying with ICSA. They are postgraduate programmes offered at universities in the UK and Ireland which are validated by ICSA. Candidates who successfully complete these programmes gain both the university postgraduate award and Graduateship of ICSA (GradICSA).

MEMBERSHIP GRADES
Associate (AICSA)
You need to be 21 years of age or over and have at least six years' relevant work experience. The six year requirement can be reduced by up to three years for graduates and holders of other relevant qualifications.
Fellow (FICSA)
You need to demonstrate career progression to a senior level in a substantial organisation, be at least 25 years old with at least eight years' relevant work experience (reducible by up to three years as above).
Examination Date:
Examinations are held twice a year, in summer (usually in early June) and winter (usually in late November).
ICSA registration deadlines
The closing date for the receipt of examination entries for Winter sittings is: 1 October
The closing date for the receipt of examination entries for Summer sittings is: 1 April
Enrolment on an e-certified course does not register you with ICSA.
